Ok another absolute value function graph fun. This one has an ugly (3/4) stuck to it, but for the most part it is very simple.

Let us start by finding the point where our absolute value portion of our equation is zero, and for this function that is at value 0 when x is 0.

That leaves us with f(x) = 5 or y = 5

(0, 5)

That is our vertex!

Now, let us find two more dots, one for each side of the vertex!

I am going to choose a random value for x that makes a dot easy.

Let us say

                    x = (+/-)(4/3)

When x = +(4/3)

then

           y = 4

When x = -(4/3)

then

          y = 4
